Khaled is the assistant coach of a top Saudi Arabian football team. One day, after a stressful match, his frustration and bad attitude lands him in disciplinary court. He loses his job and is sentenced to the worst possible punishment for his ego: coaching a group of players with intellectual disabilities. Through their innocence, tenderness and plenty of good humor, they will teach Khaled the things that really matter in life.

A comic tale. The issue of film education has been a Gordian link for many years in Greece. Starting from the time of Stavrakos in 1950, the documentary reaches up to the present day, exploring this issue through a dialogue between the people who dealt and are dealing. Ice hockey is a Czech national obsession, and the country's victory over Russia in the 1969 World Championships, the year following the Soviet invasion, is a celebrated moment in its history. In Marek Najbrt's black comedy, the heroic exploits take place only on a black and white tv screen as a group of representative misfits gather and watch the game in a desolate village on the Czech border. While consisting of recognisable types, Najbrt's bleak portrait reveals a world of alcoholism, debt, racism, bigotry, and infidelity that trails behind the dreams of nationalism and bears little resemblance to the fantasies of the new consumerism. A clever and multi-levelled film, it provides a sharp antidote to the reconciliatory charms of the conventional Czech comedy.

Gigi Poltera's best days are behind him – just like "his" EHC Arosa. While the hockey club is facing bankruptcy and forced relegation, the soon-to-be 50-year-old is working his way through the valley as a postman. Twenty years ago, he was one of the stars in Schanfigg – as part of the championship team of the local skating club. The stars of yesteryear are now called upon to fill the gaps in the team. Gigi's friend Sturzi decides to make a comeback and persuades his former teammates, who have put on weight, such as the village priest, to join him. Gigi also digs out his skates in the hope of winning back his ex-wife Jenny and impressing his son, who is considered a talented goalie.
